How to measure

Two Ways to Find Your Size

Whether you have a ring on hand or need to measure directly, both methods take under two minutes and are completely free.

INTERNAL DIAMETER

Method 01

Use a Ring You Own

  1. 1Select a ring that fits the finger you want your new ring to sit on.
  2. 2Measure the internal diameter in mm — straight across the inside of the band at its widest point.
  3. 3Find your measurement in the size chart below to get your US ring size.
  4. 4Between two sizes? Always go with the larger size.

Method 02

Measure Your Finger

  1. 1Cut a thin strip of paper about 4 inches long.
  2. 2Wrap snugly around the base of the finger you want to size. Mark where it overlaps.
  3. 3Lay flat and measure in mm — this is your circumference.
  4. 4Divide by 3.14 to get your diameter, then find your size in the chart below.
  5. 5Measure at end of day — fingers are slightly larger then.

Sizing Tips

Tip 01

When between two sizes, always go with the larger size. A slightly loose ring is comfortable. Too tight is painful.

Tip 02

Measure at end of day for the most accurate reading — fingers swell slightly through the day and in warm weather.

Tip 03

Buying as a gift? Default to size 6 for teen girls ages 14–18. Exchange for free if needed.

Tip 04

Wider bands feel tighter than slim bands of the same size. Size up half a size if ordering a wide-band style.
